Composed at the age of sixteen, this piano concerto represents an early milestone in my creative journey—a youthful exploration of large-scale form, orchestral color, and virtuosic expression. Premiered in Perugia, Italy at the historic Sala dei Notari, I had the privilege of performing as the soloist with the Alicante Philharmonic in what became an unforgettable moment in my musical life. The concerto reflects both the exuberance and introspection of adolescence, weaving lyrical melodies with spirited rhythmic drive. Its themes strive for immediacy and clarity, yet hint at the expressive depth I would later continue to develop. While rooted in the tradition of the great Romantic concertos, the work also reveals a youthful desire to find a personal voice within the genre. This early piece remains a snapshot of where I began—a testament to the curiosity, daring, and formative experiences that shape a composer’s path.
